The Insurance/Collections Coordinator assists patients with insurance benefits and communicates with insurance companies regarding claims.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment.
We're looking for someone who is self-motivated, upbeat and capable of working independently as well as in a group setting.
Responsibilities:
Process and submit insurance claims daily.
Monitor and follow-up on outstanding claims.
Study insurance plans used most frequently to understand the various nuances to communicate more effectively with payors.
Contact insurance companies to resolve contested claims.
Process and maintain claims aging report.
Process payments, EOBs and refunds.
Assist patients with questions about their bills.
Manage late payments and overdue accounts.
Process end-of-day reporting and daily deposits.
Skills Proven experience with dental insurance processing Knowledge of dental terminology Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma or equivalent Additional training is an asset Job Type:
