The starting pay for this position is $18.
29 an hour with an additional $2 an hour shift differential for nights.
We currently offer a $600 signing bonus for 6 months of successful performance and attendance.
Job
Summary:
The Product Inspector performs the quality assurance sampling inspections using a variety of meters, tools, and other testing apparatus.
These tests are performed according to the Operation Standards for each type of inspection, and then judgment is made according to the Inspection Standards.
Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Production experience in quality control is desirable.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
Good math skills, manual dexterity, ability to read and understand technical manuals and standards.
Must have the ability to perform duties in an organized and timely manner.
Essential Duties / Job
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepares the work area with the necessary items to ensure efficient and accurate measurement of the chip samples.
Sets up the meters according to the test conditions specified in each of the Standards for Quality Management Process.
Prepares the chips to be inspected or tested in the in-process inventory and records the necessary information on the Inspection Data Sheet or other paperwork.
Performs all operations one lot at a time to avoid mixing lots.
Ensures safety by using the proper personal protective equipment when required and by having it conveniently available at all times while in the work area.
Reports and/or corrects any safety hazards.
Reports and communicates with the Quality Management Lead to facilitate smooth flow lots through the inspection process promoting good communication and cooperation in the Quality Management Department.
Performs the Quality Management Inspection according to the Operation Standards.
Judges the lot sample according to the specifications set forth in the Inspection Standards.
Helps maintain a neat, clean, and orderly arrangement in the inspection process area.
Handles all chemicals and other hazardous materials in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheets.
Notifies the Quality Management Lead of any accident or abnormality concerning the apparatus or lot.
Performs other work-related duties as requested by the Quality Management Supervisor or other management equivalent personnel.
