Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Indinviduals must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes ensuring information systems reliability, troubleshooting server operating systems and virtualization technologies, resolve hardware/software interface interoperability, installation of operating systems, monitors policies and procedures, provides training and technical support of operating systems and data storage. Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
